Dr Alka Prakash is an accredited specialist in reproductive medicine and surgery. She has vast and varied experience in this field following her training at the Sheffield and Cambridge University Hospitals. She presently works as a Gynaecology Consultant and is the lead for Reproductive Medicine, infertility and IVF services at Cambridge University Hospitals. She believes in safe individualized and evidence based approach for her patients. She is a fellow of the Royal College of obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is on the training subcommittee of British fertility society. She has special interest in treating infertility patients with complex medical conditions such as endometriosis, fibroid and age factor of subfertility.
She also leads on a national course about creating modern families with the use of donor gametes such in single women and couples in same sex relationship.
Alka’s specialist area of interest is the role of endometrium in pregnancy and implantation failure. She is an invited speaker and contributes to the annual RCOG (Royal college of obstetrics and gynaecology) sub-fertility course.
